What is a good gift to buy someone who loves art?

I don't know much about art and wanted to buy a gift hopefully a book of some kind that is great for a person who is really into it, any suggestions?

I love the Gardner's art book. It's an art history book that has all of the masters. But this book is common with art students so maybe your friend already has it. Or if they like to paint go to an art supply store like sam flacks, binders, plaza art supplies or places like these. Maybe when you go there you can ask someone for help but usually there are so many things you can get as gifts.
Reply:You might want to learn a little about the art they enjoy before investing in an art book. Books of this kind tend to get expensive.





Look at your friend's house. What sort of art do they have on their walls? What sort of stuff do they collect? What colors are they attracted to? Do they go to the museums or art galleries? What type of art are they attracted to when they attend such places or events? This may help you find your answer. (Sorry, but art is a personal thing.)





The best art gift I ever gave was a custom piece I had made for a wedding gift. It ran about $350. But that's probably out of your general price range.

also, if they like anime, get them a book about anime and how to draw them.
