My sister-in-law is pregnant with TWINS and I don't have any idea what to get for her for Christmas without seeming like a Baby shower gift. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks!
What is a good Christmas gift for a pregnant woman?
Get her a really pretty locket with room for two pictures inside. She will cherish it forever.
Reply:I think it depends on the woman. I am expecting in a few weeks, and all I want is stuff for my baby, but a lot of women resent feeling like they aren't important anymore, so I would steer clear of baby stuff unless she specifically asked for it. Depending on how far along she is and her personality, stuff to pamper herself with is much appreciated. Also, many day spas have a mommy-to-be massage that is fantastic. A good book if she is an avid reader... my sister loved having books for the hospital and after the baby. If she is going to be a stay at home mom, maybe something that fits her hobbies... like paint if she is an artist, although she probably won't be pursuing hobbies much for a while, especially with twins!
Reply:something to pamper her. Like a massage or something really nice and relaxing, even if she doesn't use it straight away. Every pregnant woman loves to be pampered and take some time out from feeling exhausted! Highly recommended.....i am currently 7 months with my 2nd, i hope someone has listened to me when i asked for a facial and massage for Christmas.........
Reply:gift certificate for a prenatal massage!!!
Reply:Get something for her to make her comfortable. She will appreciate in the coming months.
Pregnancy pillow
Gift certificate for a facial
Pregnacy Journal
Gift Certificate to a materinity clothing store
Reply:a time machine
Reply:A prenatal massage or a gift certificate to a salon for a mani/pedi
Reply:What do you normally get her? Get her something for herself and not related to the baby, it wont seem like a baby shower gift than.
Reply:Gift certificate for a pregnancy massage.
Reply:I would get her a present, some nice slippers, a robe, a gift certificate to get her hair done.
Reply:Get her something for her, not the babies. Plenty of time for that later on.
Try something like, a pedicure at a salon or manicure with hand massage, or a facial even. If you'd rather buy something, then choose something pretty to wear (an accessory, not an item of clothing unless you are absolutely sure of her size)
Perfume is not a good choice as quite often strong aromas can make a pregnant woman heave!
Reply:stuff to pamper herself, bubble baths and things.
Reply:Since she won't be fitting into her clothes soon, maybe a gift cert for like Gap so she can shop at Gap Maternity or Old Navy Maternity. Or even a spa gift cert. so she can pamper herself. I'm sure she'll be feeling pretty miserable eventually.
Reply:get her a gift card to a store she likes.
cuz she wont fit into her clothes for a while and she may be bigger after she has the babies so shell need new clothes and itll make her feel better to get something for herself. maybe add a card saying this is for u to get clothes. so she knows its for her and not the babies.
Reply:get her a certificate to a maternity store. she'll appriciate it I am sure. (4 month preggo too and needing more clothes myself.) LOL
Reply:Hmm, I'm 7 months pregnant, and right now everyone is all about the baby on the way, and I think it'd be nice if you got her something un-baby related, at least not in clothing or such. A prenatal massage would be great, or a spa gift certificate, carrying twins her back has got to be killing her now, if not shortly, and I bet she'd appreciate a gift certificate for one, if you can, toss in a manicure/pedicure and a bathrobe for the day. Otherwise, just get her something she'd like normally, I would try and shy away from anything baby for this year since next year.. it's all babies for Xmas, let her enjoy it this year!!
Reply:I would get her something for her and not the babies.. like a gift certificate for a massage or clothing store or a spa day.
Reply:I have told everyone that if they are going to get me anything, I want baby stuff!!
My suggestion is whatever you give her, attach a gift receipt to it.
Reply:A big fluffly robe and some slippers. Seriously. Maybe some lotions too. These are things that are for HER and I enjoy mine, especially with the weather being colder.
Reply:I think a gift voucher for a day of pampering at a day spa would be nice. A facial, massage, manicure - pedicure the works. Whatever your budget allows. Even one of these items would be nice because it's all about her and no one else.
Reply:A gift card to a Motherhood Maternity store would always be welcome. I always wanted new maternity clothes.
