What gift would you buy for Salvador Dali?

In my art class at school we have to buy birthday gifts for an artist that our teacher assigned to us and explain why we chose these gift... What birthday gifts would you buy for Salvador Dali?

What gift would you buy for Salvador Dali?
Salvador Dali is a Surrealist painter, as you probably know. :) Have you seen many of his paintings or know something about him?

He's best known for his work "Persistence of Memory," the one with the melting clocks. :) The most common interpretation would be that these "melting clocks" deflate the permanence of time. http://www.thebestlinks.com/images/thumb...

How about recreating a melting clock? You could make this out of play dough by bending and molding the shape. You could even add food coloring to the ingredients to get accurate colors, too!

Play Dough Recipe

Ingredients:

2 cups flour

1 cup salt

1 cup water

1 tablespoon cooking oil

Instructions:

Mix the flour, salt, and water in a bowl. Add a small amount of oil (this keeps the dough from hardening).

Knead the play dough a little.

Store in an airtight container.

Add raisins, yarn, string, or black licorice for the hands and seconds!
Reply:A carrot.
Reply:I wouldn't take a clock. You cannot just give as a gift something he himself created. It would be like giving Leonardo da Vinci a reproduction of the monalisa. Salvador Dali was largely interested in science and he based many of his works on it. Something as simple as a book on physics or molecular biology would be great. You don't have to buy a book just make one yourself and make an interesting cover, he was obsessed with DNA. Or even a model of the DNA molecule would be a gift he would have enjoyed. Many of his works are based on this molecule

Other works are also based on quantum mechanics

Reply:Eye drops and nose drops; he always posed with his eyes open like he got scared while sleeping. The nose drops are because he always held his head with his chin, high up in the air. I just bet that his nose ended up very dry because of it.
Reply:A large melted watch to hang around his neck on a chain like a rapper. He was a surrealist.
Reply:The clock is to obvious. I'd buy him some fresh fish, an egg, an ant farm and a vial of michael jacksons blood, and a box of other knick knacks from the flea market. mostly because it's random and i'm sure he'd enjoy psychoanalyzing why i choose to give him those things
Reply:A new clock, as his old one was broken from the heat.
Reply:buy a pocket watch, melt it in the microwave, then give it to him
