Is there any way to purchase something on iTunes using a credit card without taking from the gift account?

I want to purchase the iPod touch software upgrade for $20. I currently have $20 in my account from a gift card, but I don't want to use it as it belongs to someone else. Is there anyway to make the purchase using the credit card instead of it automatically charging the gift account?

When you log on... Go to payment options.. Edit function. and then specifiy a new credit card as a method of payment. Then when you checkout, you use the credit card...
Reply:No, the way it works on the itunes store is, store credit then credit card. there is no way to choose where to charge the purchase to. ( can not choose payment options if gift card is on account, and gift card can not be unredeemed once it's redeemed)

and write an email to them if you don't beleive me

the only other thing you could do, is purchase the upgrade, and then purcahse another gift card with your credit card to redeem, you can purchase a gift card straight from itunes, should be listed under quick links on the right side of the store.
