What is a good gift to buy someone who loves art?

I don't know much about art and wanted to buy a gift hopefully a book of some kind that is great for a person who is really into it, any suggestions?

What is a good gift to buy someone who loves art?
I would get him a painting brush tied to a scetch book with a gift card inside for his favorite art store.

If he loves art a Picasso, Monet or Van Gogh would do.
Reply:An art museum membership for a year.
Reply:I love art, and if it were me who was getting the present then I would want a pencil drawing book with the supplies that they would need. Or maybe you could get a history book of a famous artist, like DaVinci or their favorite artist.

-hope thats helpful!
Reply:really nice paint brushes or paint. or if they just love looking at it buy really nice prints or hey an actual picture...
Reply:i would get him a book that's not all about art, but rather a beautiful book. like a williams sonoma london cookbook or something. It is something he can create, but a little out of the box. I am an artist and love beautiful things like these books. i'm sure he'd be happy with art supplies too like some others mentioned, but i have to be honest with you... most artists really like to pick out their own stuff like that and probably won't end up using something you got. here's a link to creative gifts for creative people that i was e-mailed... just go for something wierd/fun/different and that he'll remember came from u.

Reply:There are tons of books about art. It helps of you know what kind, though...or who his/her favorite artist is. A nice coffee table volume would be great.

You could also go to a gallery...even a Deck The Walls store, if there is one near you, and get a nice print for them...again, it helps to know their favorite artist.
Reply:A still life from the Dutch school.
