What is the best gift to get a 2 year old boy on his birthday?

My little boy's birthday is in a week and a half. I have some things in mind, but what would be a really awesome gift to get for him?

What is the best gift to get a 2 year old boy on his birthday?
My daughter turned 2 last year and we got her lots of educational and developmental toys that will build up her skills.

My mom went out and got her a bike w/training wheels which she loves.

We also got her many books which she also loves.

My mom also bought her a swing set which has swings and a slide.

Another idea might be those battery powered jeeps. My daughter has one and granted she didn't use it until she was about 2 1/2 but she loves it now.
Reply:A toy will please him(mostly cars) and an outfit will please his Mom and Dad as these children keep growing out off their clothes fast
Reply:a month ago i came on here to ask what i should get my little girl for her second birthday and alot of people said a little bike, so if he doesnt have one, i suggest that, she loved it!
Reply:Being his mother you should know the answer
Reply:I like jig-saw puzzles, you can buy really nice hand crafted wooden puzzles.
Reply:Get him a puppy or parrot. The parrot might help with speach developement but the puppy would help with walking and resposibility.
Reply:A toy truck, stuff animal, bike, or take him to the store and let him pick out something.
Reply:My daughter turned 2 a couple of weeks ago, and she got a small kiddie pool. She loved that more than any other gift she got!
Reply:Long-term gift would be a savings bond $50 or $100... and get him one each birthday.

Toy wise? Thomas Tank Engine is a great gift for little guys. The starter set is approximately $25 and comes with tracks and a couple trains (I think Thomas and his coal car, but I can't remember for sure). http://www.hitentertainment.com/thomasan...
Reply:When my son turned two I bought him a couple of great big tonka trucks and let him bulldoze the backyard with them.

And the extra benefit was that I didn't have to cut the grass anymore.
Reply:get him a toy car
Reply:A Great gift is relative to the child, It wouldn't be the same gift for every kid. The greatest gifts are things that you know the child really likes (if he likes Cars %26amp; Trucks= buy him a big one) He likes riding things get him a Big Wheel, If he likes to rough house get him something that wont break easily or a push toy. If he likes to run and be active get him something that he push the head down and it rolls away - so he can chase it. If he's into TV by him Educational Videos that are Fun and Teach with without being to School-like = Dragon Tales. If he's Babi-fied and a Cuddler Get him a Vibrating Stuffed Animal to Hug. Its really all about you knowing your Baby. Great Gifts are not the popular toy on the market or the cutest clothes it stuff that people will actually use, thats how they remember Gifts! So get him something that fits his personality and that he will be likely to use and enjoy.
Reply:Books and 20-30 minutes every day to read them to him. You get to cuddle, laugh, and learn together. What a great way to bond!
Reply:Thomas the train. My son will be 2 in July and he LOVES Thomas the train. Walmart has a ton of thomas stuff in the toy section!!!
Reply:Is he tall enough for a tricycle. My son will be 2 in October and that's what I was thinking.
Reply:*a build a bear

*power wheels ( tractor or cars) Sometimes you can get them at yard sales Cheap!!

*Pick our two or three iteams. Let him decide, like a big boy.

*a trip to a new kids movie ( Cars should be out soon)

*bike

*a swing set (if room and $$)

*basket ball with hoops or baseballs with a bat

I hope these ideas help..
Reply:Color wonder markers and book. They only write on the special paper and best of all; No mess! My daughter thinks it is greast I let her go and she shows me her work. my nephew likes them too. He is 2 also.
Reply:a tricycle that has a removeable handle that an adult can use to push him. Make sure its pretty long so noone will expericence an achy back. Also Leap Frog has an Imagination desk. It is totally portable and has all sorts of activities including coloring pages.
Reply:My son just turned 2 in May. We got him the Elmo knows your name. It is about $40. They also have Dora the Explorer and Pooh. You program Elmo with your childs name, their birthday, their favorite songs, favorite foods, etc. My son loved it - he was really excited that Elmo was saying his name.
Reply:My favorite, single most used present from my son's second b-day...A WAGON- the classic red Radio Flyer!
Reply:mabe a trike or a big wheel that is if he's walking yet
Reply:Get a radio controlled car. He'll love watching it and Dad will think it's Christmas 1980 all over again! He'll love you for it!
Reply:get him like a mini basketball goal ,trike ,kitchen or somethin like that.hope he has a good b-day.and hope my ideas helped!
Reply:I would get him something like.....say if his favorite TV show is Spongebob Square pants then get him a spongebob book bag or something that has Spongebob on it.
Reply:I would give him a puzzle or something-- i gave my 2 year old sister one.. she absolutely LOVED it...so i think that would work.
Reply:Most children are not able to pedal a trike or bike at 24 months. That skill comes at about 30 months or so. What about a wooden train or a Fisher Price Geotrax trainset. Both are very popular and provide a great deal of creative play time. Both are available at ToysRUs.
