What is a good gift from the US to send to a girl in Japan?

I'm from the US, and I need to ship a 16 year old japnesse girl a birthday gift. What do you think that she would want from the US?

What is a good gift from the US to send to a girl in Japan?
Magazines! Girls love magazines and even if she can't read them she can see what the American girls are doing a wearing... Also, try to find some trendy earrings or something that look like ones in the magazine you sent. That way she could prove how stylish she is to her friends.
Reply:Anything that she cannot wear. That would be too personal

Maybe a picture of you in a frame, or some place she likes/saw in America . That way her mother can see what you look like as well or what her daughter holds special to her
Reply:Maybe a book or a CD or a DVD of her choice and of course in the right format. Or some stuff that's not yet released in Japan but released in the US first or you could send her a ticket to the US to spend her birthday in the States. You could also send some branded clothing that she would like. Rest depends on her interests!! Good luck deciding...
Reply:A nice juicy Big Mac

mmm...

American goodness
Reply:16 year old girl loves fashion, lotion, perfume and stuff animals of course. If she is in beauty, get her some cute make up or perfumes . If you know her size, get her a nice Italian jacket or some Juicy Couture cute T-shirts. I bet she is still in school, so a cute back pack will be nice.Good Luck!!
Reply:You probably won't find very many 'unique' things to send to her in Japan. It's probably something she had already seen and/or heard of before.

Since technology and just Japan itself is so much more advanced than the US, anything electronics is probably out of the question. And since 'EBAY' and such, you won't need to travel much to get something from another country..

Makeup, backpacks.. eh. They have plenty of that. Even cuter, nicer, cheaper, etc.

I pretty much agree about the magazines, it would be a little entertaining and amusing, she and her friends could get together and talk about how Americans are and what-not. (LOL. From experience.)

Seventeen, Cosmopolitan, Teen, etc. Are good selections.
