What is a good Christmas gift for someone about to enter law school?

My boyfriend is entering law school in the spring. He is from Kenya, and comes from a family of diplomats and lawyers. He is also a dj, and interested in music. Anyone have any good gift ideas?

Reply:Without question, the best gift you can give to someone about to start law school is some sort of backpack with wheels. Law text books are incredibly heavy, and 1Ls are required to haul a huge number of them around on a daily basis. Take a look at the High Sierra (link is below). No, I don't work for them -- but they offer a lifetime warranty. When I was a law student, I actually snapped the handle in half (hauling the bag, loaded with Law tomes, down NYC subway stairs). They replaced it for free.

The best gift you can give is cold hard cash or gift certificates to the Law School Book Store.
